Catfood WebCamSaver displays live webcam images from around the world as a captivating screensaver. You can choose to watch a single view or split the screen and watch four or sixteen webcams simultaneously.

Time zone information is stored for each webcam and you can show local time together with the location of the webcam. You have full control over the font and color used for display and can disable this information and just enjoy the view. You can even use the time zone feature to only display webcams during daylight (or lunchtime).

Desktate has been updated to include NASA Blue Marble 2 monthly imagery that may optionally be combined on a daily basis to show the extent of snow and ice cover throughout the year. Desktate also includes support for time zones with a layer that displays local time throughout the world. Finally, 2.20 has an image export feature that allows you to save a single Desktate map or render a sequence of frames for creating an animation.

Catfood Software is pleased to announce the release of Catfood Weather version 1.00.

Catfood Weather provides a regularly updated seven day forecast on your desktop. The forecast is downloaded from the National Weather Service for any location in the continental United States, easily configured by entering a ZIP code. You can set up multiple locations and then switch forecast from the taskbar menu.

Catfood Weather runs as a taskbar icon that is updated to show today's forecast. Hover your mouse over the icon to see current conditions, click the icon to bring up the seven day forecast.

The Microsoft 1.1 .NET framework is required to run Catfood Weather; the installer will download this component if necessary.

Catfood Desktate has been updated to provide more options including scaling (stretch the world to fit your screen), layers (plot locations, borders and more) and rotation (fix the map to any time or longitude). Catfood Software is pleased to announce the release of Catfood WebCamSaver 1.10. WebCamSaver displays captivating live views from around the world as a screensaver.

Version 1.10 includes the ability to split the screen and display four locations simultaneously. Systems with multiple monitors are now fully supported and enhancements to web cam selection mean that slow or dead locations are ignored and the same location is never displayed repeatedly.

With automatic update new web cams are downloaded regularly from the Catfood Software web site. Screensaver settings provide full control over the font and color of captions, update speed and the time spent on each location. You can also add new web cams manually or remove locations.

Fortune Cookies 2.21 released. This version fixes problems with Windows 95/98 support and automatically recovers from corrupt cookie files.

Catfood Software is pleased to announce the release of Catfood Mail 2.00. Catfood Mail is a simple utility designed for administering POP3 mail boxes. It can be used to delete unwanted mail, preview the size of your mailbox before connecting your regular client over a slow connection, or as a lightweight client to check for important mail.

Version 2.00 includes the ability to preview HTML email. This feature helps when using Catfood Mail to check full messages. This version also allows you to store connection information and set Catfood Mail to automatically log in to your POP3 account.

Catfood Software is pleased to announce the release of Catfood WebCamSaver 1.00. WebCamSaver is a screensaver that displays captivating live views from web cams around the world.

With automatic update new and updated web cams are fetched weekly from the Catfood Software web site. You can add and remove web cams manually, and also disable automatic update if you prefer.

WebCamSaver can be easily configured to display an alternative screensaver when you are not connected to the Internet. You can also control descriptions, update speed and how often WebCamSaver shifts to a new web cam.

Catfood Quote tracks your stock portfolio easily from the Windows taskbar.

Catfood FTP Wizard offers a simple to use yet powerful interface for transferring files. Features in this release include:

• Remote Browsing – remote browsing allows you to navigate to files and folders on an FTP server using the familiar Windows interface. Remote browsing supports accessing files below the login folder (if allowed by the server) and allows new folders to be created.
  
  
• Automatic Type Selection – Catfood FTP Wizard can automatically detect the type of file being transferred. This allows files to be moved without worrying about setting ASCII or BIN mode on the server – a common cause of problems when uploading web sites.
  
  
• Archive Mode – Catfood FTP Wizard can be configured to only upload files that have changed since the last transfer. This powerful feature is ideal for updating web sites, performing off-site backups and limiting the amount of time needed to perform otherwise lengthy updates. Catfood FTP Wizard can also control the file extension types that are transferred and force ASCII or BIN mode transfers.
  
  
• Chmod support – for servers supporting the SITE CHMOD command Catfood FTP Wizard allows UNIX file permissions to be set automatically. The chmod interface allows permissions to be set directly in octal or by manipulating each permission directly.
  
  
• Transfer scripting – Catfood FTP Wizard allows any command to be sent to the server either before, during or after transfer. Script commands can be called for each file in the transfer and wildcard expansion allows the remote file to be included in the command. This feature allows Catfood FTP Wizard to be used with site specific commands, or to perform common tasks such as retrieving a directory listing after each transfer.
