Nosleep

Nosleep is a command line tool that temporarily prevents your computer from sleeping or hibernating.

This solves a frustrating problem in Windows Task Scheduler — you can wake your computer to start a task but you can't prevent it from sleeping while the task is running.

If you need to run lengthy tasks this can lead to leaving your computer switched on all the time to prevent a sleep or hibernate. Nosleep acts as a wrapper for a batch file and ensures that your computer won't sleep while the batch file is running.

Nosleep is a free download. Source code is available from Prevent Sleep During Scheduled Tasks.
